Chapter Five

Upon returning from the spa and a wonderful time, Nick opened the door to their room. On the floor lay a large envelope addressed to him and he picked it up. Tossing his clothes on the bed, he carefully opened the envelope and read the invitation. “We’ve been invited to a party, but I’ll let you read the invitation.

Sondra’s eyebrows drew together as she accepted the card. A beautiful blush rose in her cheeks as she read, then looked at him with huge eyes. “Have you been to one of these before?” She laughed out loud. “Now that’s a stupid question. I’m sure you’ve been to one of these. Did you read the whole thing?”

Placing a knuckle beneath her chin, he lifted her face and kissed those pouty lips of hers. “No, but I know who it’s from and that pretty much tells me what kind of party it is.”

She grabbed her glasses, then gasped after reading further. “Oh my gawd! Listen to this. ‘Your submissive is to arrive wearing nothing beneath her gown or she will be punished by a Dom of the houses choosing.’ What will they do, check me at the door?”

“Ah, normally, yes.” He couldn’t help it; he chuckled as he watched her antics as she read further. “I’ll get some ice for us while you finish reading.” Nick locked the door behind him and laughed on the way to the ice machine down the hall. This party would be her first and he hoped she wouldn’t chicken out. He’d leave the final decision up to her. She’d learn more than she could ever imagine on her own since she’d not yet attended one.

Unlocking the door, he saw she’d filled two glasses half full of Jack Daniels waiting for ice. Sondra had changed into her robe. “I take it the invitation is a bit more than you can handle? I’ll refuse the invite if you prefer not to go.”

“That wouldn’t look very good for you. It would tell them that you don’t have control over your submissive and I refuse to have them think that. I want to experience this lifestyle with you and all it has to teach me, including what I don’t want to do. I just need to get my courage up and get past being so shy when I’m naked in front of others, since that seems to be what lies ahead for me. Is that the hardest part for all submissives?”

Nick dropped a few cubes into her glass and handed it to Sondra. “For some. The other Doms can easily spot a shy submissive and they will help them get over that in a hurry. Your best bet would be to hide that fact when we get there. Hold your head high and be proud because you’re gorgeous. Doms and submissives both love seeing well proportioned bodies and you’ll knock them over with yours when the time comes.”

Sondra cocked her head to the side and lowered her glasses. “It also states that submissives will have a collar on when they arrive and it must have two D-rings.
